Holy shit I wasn't expecting the games from 1960-2008 to be on the timeline. I didn't think they were a part of Universe 08. That's awesome!

Castle of Glass is obviously connected to Alula Falling, but how does/will The Shovel and everything before it have ties to Clear Moon (assuming Clear Moon/Death (the 8-bit skull entity)/The Bridge are the primary things in Universe .08 unless this timeline is just a collection of almost everything you did since DD 1)? Aside from Oh Chapel possibly being connected to the Clear Moon cult and The Shovel potentially being connected to how the Moon King came into being, those things seem a bit too random to be connected to Dead Detention (DD) and the like, especially Polaroids, which feels like it came out of nowhere and has very minimal meaning.

As for Chaos Eclipse:
1. If it's going to be a direct sequel, I'd hope it would be as close to when Chaos Girl ends as possible, before the DD 1 after story. Why? Because hell was as good as literally unleashed on Tokyo in the process! So many questions: How much damage did Tokyo suffer? Did it recover from all that damage in the 9ish months before chronicle bulletin (it must have repaired at least most of the damage by late December)? How many Chaos Children were at Zone Zero (I'd assume there were hundreds)? How many of them got their chaos chips removed other than Tom (assuming he had one too) and Stella? Did the Japanese military or at least government respond to the armageddon children's rampage at any point (it would be completely ridiculous if the answer's "no, not at all")? What's the Japanese government's stance towards Clear Moon?

2. As far as I can tell, assuming ending 1 of Chaos Girl ep.3 is the canon end of Chaos Girl (pretty sure it is), Shia's fate seems to be quite a ways up there prior to DD 2, especially since you don't even run into him if play Chaos Girl with the canon choices. Is he going to show up in Chaos Eclipse? Did he have a chaos chip put in him? I guess I'll have to settle with waiting to find out.

2.5. Also worth noting on ending 1 of episode 3 is that the nameable character (giving him a name like you did with Stella might be nice) is still alive. What happened to him? Did Clear Moon get to him? Did life go back to normal for him at all? Will he be the player character in Chaos Eclipse too?

3. How exactly did Stella get a chip attached to her heart removed with the only thing left behind being a scar on her left arm? [possibly freaky stuff warning] Was a specially designed surgical tool that went to the heart starting from the left arm required to remove the chip?

3.5. While I'm talking about Stella, I'd like to bring up that not a lot of her story was told. All I know for sure is that she hid from Clear Moon for a fair amount of time and must have ran into them at some point, otherwise she'd (supposedly) never have a chaos chip.

4. I wonder how dark Chaos Eclipse might get. It could be interesting to have early end-of-the-line scenarios where you get a very bad, non-canon ending if you make certain choices.

Couple other things:
1. We didn't see much of R.E.D. so far aside from detective freeman showing up in Chronicle Bulletin ep. 6 and part of DD 2. Are there other members of R.E.D.? Do they have an ultimate goal and/or are part of or allies with some faction dedicated to opposing Clear Moon? How much more of R.E.D. will we see in Universe .08?

2. What's up with almost everyone who's not a clear soldier not having a gun? The only guy not a clear soldier in all of Universe .08 (The Cloud aside) who ever had a gun is Ash from episode 1 of Chaos Girl. I'd think since the magic in this universe has to be charged up before it can be cast most of the time that more folks delving into the darkness might have guns.

Finally, I remember you saying originally that Chaos Eclipse would be a trilogy and more recently said you'd prefer to make it all one entry. User wise, that means either getting chunks of the story every now and then, having to wait for the next chunk of story until the the finale or getting the whole thing all at once, potentially with more polish/cohesion but having to wait longer to get anything. I'd like to say I'm fine with how you go at it either way. Go with whatever method you want to work with.

They're all connected? Hmm, I admit I hadn't actually played several of the less obvious ones. I.e. Polaroids or the Cloud. Just goes to show you never know for sure, huh?

As to Setho's questions, I can answer a few of them and have a few comments to others.

As far as the Chaos Children's escape and what happened in Tokyo following their activities after the events of Chaos Girl... well Clear Moon is a world wide organization. It's not clear just how much power they have but the answer is a lot. There was probably immediate response following those events and cover up. They clearly influence the media, as shown in Dead Detention. I imagine the majority of the Chaos Children were either recaptured or killed in a short amount of time.

Some, like Tom, managed to hide and stay low for a while. Some, like Stella in Chaos Christmas, were able to lay low for a little bit but she had clearly kept being found and forced on the run.

The nameable student in the Chaos Girl series died in one of the Canon endings, I believe. He will likely not be making a reappearance.

As far as the concern about why almost nobody has a gun, well a lot of the people in games are kids, teachers, scientists, and normal civilians. They don't know when cultists, Chaos Children, or monsters are going to show up. Also, while Detective Freeman likely has one, they almost always run into groups of individuals with powers. I also imagine the 'charge time' is one to three seconds on powers. It's generally peoples responses to either try and talk it out or run. Not stand and fight.

That's all the time I've got for now. Very excited to see Chaos Eclipse!

Nice! Glad your so detailed with your stories man, lots of passion goes into this without a doubt. You should make a wiki with Character bios and stuff Might add some depth to your characters. just an idea. keep up the good work man!

Cool idea - I might set up something like that soon!

Nice to see months added, helps straighten the timeline out a lot.

The early timeline entries were completely random before, but I think The Ritual along with The Shovel, Oh Chapel, Polaroids and The Cloud just bridged the gap between those entries and the rest of Universe .08.

***************************************************************************************************************
MAJOR potential spoiler(s) follow, playing each of those starting with Oh Chapel, following up with Dead Detention 1 and 2 and putting your thinking cap on is recommended. Coffin Queen optional, checking out Chronicle Bulletin episodes 1 and 2 recommended if you look at it. Also note this is primarily what I pieced together, not necessarily 100% accurate lore, so take it with a grain of salt.
***************************************************************************************************************

I think the early points in the timeline (except Castle of Glass, which is completely unrelated) are all about Dr. Mason. The loosest connection is Oh Chapel, which could be a part of his younger days, but I could be wrong. Either way, I'm fairly certain the chapel from there is the same one you can find in Coffin Queen.

At first glance, Polaroids is as out-of-nowhere as it gets. However, you can find a camera in The Ritual that includes a picture of a lighthouse. Since Polaroids also features a lighthouse, I'm pretty sure that's part of Mason's past. The Cloud I can't be 100% sure about, but the "as soon as I pulled the trigger" part of the bedroom note from The Ritual is a decent sized hint. My first thoughts went towards the bloody officer's badge you can find in The Shovel, thinking he may have been a cop and a job went horribly wrong (maybe it explains how he had a gun to begin with). What I'm thinking now is that the death of a significant other depicted in Polaroids (no idea how she died though, I'm assuming cancer or some other illness) made him into the guy we see in The Could who attempted suicide.

But as that same note said, things "did not go as expected." Rather than dying, "a divine figure appeared" and offered him a new way of life. I'm assuming this figure is probably Death, the 8-bit skull found throughout Universe .08. As The Shovel and The Ritual points out, Mason accepted the offer, killing off his own family as part of "Reaching Enlightenment," a list of which shows up in The Shovel. Finally, he seals the deal in The Ritual and becomes the prime antagonist of Universe .08: The Moon King. To further verify Dr. Mason being the Moon King, you'll find Tadao Dai (aka Comander Dai, father of Haru, Naomi and Sora Dai and notable antagonist in Chaos Girl/Eclipse) call the Moon King Mason in the later half of the Dead Detention 2 after story.

That's my theory anyway. Here's the condensed version (note that connections may be loose):

1. Oh Chapel shows Mason in his younger years and/or features the chapel found in Coffin Queen.
Connection: Burnt Chapel and a South Star Church sign next to it in Coffin Queen.
2. Polaroids shows how Mason got to be the guy from The Cloud.
Connection: lighthouse picture by camera found in The Ritual.
3. The Cloud depicts his suicide attempt.
Connection: a gun being involved in the bedroom note from The Ritual.
4. The Shovel + The Ritual is what turns Mason into the Moon King.
Connections: A striking resemblance to the Moon King between the end of The Ritual and other, mostly recent Universe .08 additions and the Moon King being called Mason by Tadao Dai.

There's one other thing I've noticed in Universe .08. Allula Falling shows that Death seems to like using people who have lost hope and/or loved ones to do his bidding. The guy from The Cloud was in just that kind of situation. That's probably how the "divine figure" found Mason.

I look forward to the mysteries of the second episode of Chaos Eclipse and other future Universe .08 entries. However, I'll also request that each entry has some quality like Coffin Queen did rather than be empty like The Ritual and The Shovel. Sure, they make interesting lore when put together, but you might as well write a book instead (and I happen to not be much of a book guy). Having some concrete substance in each of your things would ensure quality, and quality usually translates to popularity.

man *with tears* I love you
