Faye Falling DEMO *OUT NOW* !

Posted by JackAstral - March 8th, 2024

Hi! I finally have some news; a free demo for my upcoming RPG "Faye Falling" is out now on Steam! You can play it here!

FAYE FALLING is an emotional turn-based RPG. You play as a recently passed lost spirit, unable to recall who they are, or how they died. After a chance encounter with a powerful entity, you begin an epic journey to defeat a growing darkness, and recover your memories along the way.

The full game will be out within the next couple months :)

I want to attempt a html5 port of the demo so I can get it up here on Newgrounds - I'll write another post if I can manage it :P

The full game will be out later this year on Steam - very, very soon! All in all, the game ended up taking just over 2 years to make. Crazy to think my original goal was late 2022 - that feels so long ago now. I actually have 2 other big projects I've been working on alongside Faye (hence the 4 year gap instead of 2), so there will be almost no gap between Faye and my next release thank god lol

Thanks for playing + reading,

-Jack

looks amazing!

Thanks!!!

I'm stuck at this part where the strange stuck sword? needs to be glowing. (a blue flower with a red girl place) and I'm too dumb to figure it out xd

Oh lol! Dash into it!

@JackAstral I hate myself XD

yeah just completed the game and can't wait for the full game. that was awesome ngl and I loved it. I wonder if it has multiple ending like kindness or evil?

now to the steam deck: I found an issue where enabling the Fullscreen option makes the game small? I don't know if it's the resolution issue which is 1152x648 instead of 1280x800? but disabling it fixes the issue. just that and that's all.

Thanks so much! Yes- the morality system comes into play more and more as the game goes along. As you grow horns, or a halo, you'll get different choices available to you, such as stealing from merchants and destroying fading spirits. And all that stuff leads to one of 5 different endings.

Also really good catch with the Steam Deck issue- I don't own one yet so I couldn't test it. I'll make sure the fullscreen option defaults to off for those players. Thanks!!!!!
